Since then the editors and Simon have become friends and during Feb 2009
Simon fled a snowy London and travelled across 5 American states on a mad
quest for the strange and very peculiar. He met, interviewed and photographed
jesters, jokers, crazed hoarders, automata collectors, strippers, mechanical
geniuses, several stars of magic, the inventor of the first ever computer game
and a private astronaut .
He said, "It was suppossed to be my holiday but turned into damn hard work
and about the most facinating and fun time I have had in years!"
After 4 weeks on the road he returned to the House of Magic for a decent cup
of tea and the much missed sound of Resonance 104.4 FM in his workshop.
Within a short time he was to embark on weeks of very long days building a
new illusion which was premiered on the April public night to great reaction.
Simon’s amazing photos and interviews will appear in Bizarre Magazine over
the next 12 months as full length features.
